    Min Zhu has long been dedicated to the study of evolutionary biology in ancient fishes, achieving innovative contributions in addressing major scientific questions regarding the history of life, such as the origin of jaws, the origin and evolution of Osteichthyes (bony fishes), and the transition of fish to tetrapod. He has led the development of multiple HRCT facilities, pioneering new technological applications in paleontological research. Additionally, he established the Deepbone Database, which has become the most comprehensive scientific data platform for fossil vertebrate species information.
